| |

The long awaited ArcGIS version 9.2 has been rolling out. ArcGIS is ESRI’s premier GIS software package and the new bells and whistles of version 9.2 were touted at the 2006 User Conference in San Diego. The release in the United State was mailed out to customers starting in November. The upgrade has not been without some hiccups. Check here for resources to help with the upgrade of ArcGIS to 9.2.

Installation Problems with ArcGIS 9.2?
If you’re having installation problems with ArcGIS 9.2 check out this utility from ESRI called “Getting Ready for 9.2 – Uninstall Utility”. This utility will help locate and remove previous versions of this GIS software that the 9.2 installation won’t overwrite. Also, check out Microsoft’s Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

ArcGIS 9.2 Service Pack
The newly released ArcGIS 9.2 has a service pack coming. Due to be released to the public toward the end of December, stay tuned to ESRI’s announcement page for further details.
