Reports from the fourth annual Italian gvSIG conference are available.

ESA’s Earth from Space image of the week features the Strait of Bonifacio, located between the French island of Corsica and the Italian island of Sardinia.  The strait divides the Tyrrhenian Sea from the western Mediterranean Sea.  The image was created by combining three Envisat Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar acquisitions (19 April, 1 March and 18 February) over the same area. The colours result from changes in the surface between acquisitions.
