Today in GIS: Aligned Assets Releases Gazetteer Management System, Topcon's New Welcome Center

Today’s summary of geospatial industry press releases includes news from Aligned Assets and Topcon.

Aligned Assets has released Symphony Bluelight Gazetteer, the United Kingdom’s first NAG-Compatible Gazetteer Management System.  This system will allow Fire & Rescue Services, Police Forces and Ambulance Services access to the national database of addresses (over 30 million records).

Topcon has opened Phase 1 in the renovation of its12-acre training and test site in Livermore, California.  The  event included the dedication of its VIP Welcome Center and the renaming of the test site to the Topcon Solutions Site.   The new Welcome Center contains a boardroom table, 60” monitor, video conferencing capabilities and advanced audio/visual aids as well as displays of past and present Topcon technology.
