The Women in Geospatial+ (WiG+) group has recently opened up submissions for its newly launched Speakers Database. Registration will be open from April to May with an anticipated platform launch in May. Registration is open to all underrepresented genders which includes cis women, trans women, trans men, non-binary people and people who are otherwise marginalized. WiG+ organizers invite all levels of geospatial skills from novices to experts to submit their profile information to the database.
Geospatial speakers are needed for all different kinds of events such as conferences, panels, meetups, and workshops. Speaking at an event is a great way to share your own unique perspectives and experiences with others in your field. The goal of the WiG+ Speakers Database is to increase the diversity of voices that present at geospatial events.
