Secure Geocoding

| |

Esri has released World Geocoder which is used within ArcGIS to securely map sensitive location information such as addresses and places behind a firewall.  “Keeping sensitive customer data secure is a top priority for many organizations,” said Esri president Jack Dangermond. “The ability to geocode this data quickly and accurately behind a firewall enables organizations to leverage spatial analysis and technology to better understand their customer information.”

Street-level addressing information is available for over 100 countries.  Users can batch geocode, map one address at a time, or reverse geocode off of a set of coordinates.  World Geocoder also includes an API for enabling geocoding capabilities for custom and ArcGIS apps.
