Esri has recently published an updated study guide for those interested in preparing for the ArcGIS Desktop Associate Exam (prior to this book, the last ArcGIS desktop study guide was published in 2013). As part of Esri’s Technical Certification Program, this exam tests proficiency in the suite of ArcGIS applications including ArcGIS Pro 1.4 and ArcMap 10.5.
The study guide focuses on topics covered by the exam, including data management, editing, and visualization as well as geographic content sharing, spatial analysis, and geoprocessing. The book is meant to help exam takers identify gaps in their skills and refresh their knowledge, rather than prepare them for the specific questions that will be asked during the exam.
The book was written by Brittney White, a a senior instructor at Esri. The study guide is available both in print (which includes a free 180-day trial of ArcGIS desktop) and as a eBook. No 180-day free trial is available with the eBook but users can download a 21-day free trial here: esri.com/arcgis/trial.
Esri ArcGIS Desktop Associate Certification Study Guide for 10.5 is available in print (ISBN: 9781589485143, 150 pages, US$79.99) and as an e-book (ISBN: 9781589485150, 150 pages, US$79.99).
