The Google Map blog, Lat Long, has announced the addition of 54 new countries to Google Maps. Significantly, countries in Latin America and Asia were added. Quality and the extent of the geographic coverage varies among the countries but the blog post promises more extensive coverage and new countries to be added in the future.
