Latest TIGER GIS Data Released


The U.S. Census Bureau recently released the 2018 TIGER/Line Shapefiles on September 28, 2018.  This release covers GIS data for the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Island areas.  An acronym for Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing system (TIGER) data, the annual release of GIS data contains public domain data covering administrative and physical features such as roads, boundaries, and hydrological features.  Data is available at a range of geographic extents: nation-based, state-based, and county-based.
