Briefly describe a typical day:

Working with city and county officials to maintain GIS data like parcels, sewer data, street centerlines, addresses, etc.

How do you use GIS to help your company?
We provide web maps and access to GIS information to multiple different organizations- utility workers use our web maps when working on sewer lines, for example.

Spatial data and algorithms understanding, data entry and conversion, data maintenance, GIS workflows, model building, cartographic design.

My work directly helps a community recovering from a natural disaster.

What don’t you like about your position?
Data entry can get very tedious if it can’t be scripted.

What are your next steps in your geospatial career?:
Obtain my GISP and expand my skill set to more analysis and less data entry/editing.
