Briefly describe a typical day:
Work on developing databases for use with GIS layers. Create GIS applications with GUI for data collection – field & office. Analyze data needs and requirements. Create customized reports.

How do you use GIS to help your company?
I design and implement user-friendly GIS applications which make it easy for our cutomers to collect, analyze, display and maintain the necessary data.

GIS software used:
ArcView, ArcPad.

What skills do you need to be successful in your position?
Skill in programming languages and tools such as Visual Basic, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, MS Access & ASP. Database development knowledge, requirements analysis skills.

I have a engineering background but I enjoy building applications and programming so I moved over to GIS where I create GIS database applications.
