ArcGIS Explorer Beta Released for Android Systems

ArcGIS’s Explorer beta is officially available for Android devices. Alongside the initial iOS availability, the recent release enables users to interact with potential maps on a new set of devices. More employees will be able to access data from projects both on and offline – adding on the ability to mark up and share maps individually.

These markup capabilities are one of the primary draws of Explorer, bringing in a new variant of mapping communication through editing and geographic sharing. While most of the beta features for iOS are open to Android users, ArcGIS has stated that they still remain at separate points in their development timelines. Those trying out this beta should keep that development stagnation in mind when giving employees both system options. The differences between these two betas can be read in detail here.
