The GEOSS portal provides a confederated point of access for data, imagery, and analytical software packages.  The portal, designed and operated by the European Space Agency, provides a single point of discovery for geospatial data from a range of governmental and private data sources.  To date, the geoportal contains 400 million resources including satellite-based data, aerial and in-situ data, models, algorithms and web-pages.

Users can search by keyword, location, date, and subjects for data sets.  The filter section allows the user to narrow down search results by keyword, file type, organization, and data retrieval type.  The results are then made available as a browsable list.  Click on the “i” icon to access metadata about each dataset.
