Maps-openlayers-multilayer-with-markerSites running Mediawiki can now install a new extension called Maps that allows users to display geographic data points using either Yahoo! Maps, Google Maps or OpenLayers.  Help documentation on installing and using the extension can be found on the BN Test Semantic Wiki.  Locations are displayed either through adding coordinates or by adding a city or address to have the point geocoded.

The book was based on Robinson’s doctoral research “which investigated the relationship between science and art in cartography and the resultant refinement of graphic techniques in mapmaking to present dynamic geographic information.”
