Map Suite 5.0 has been released by ThinkGeo. Features in the release include native TAB file support, the all-new map legend feature, enhanced projection metadata support, International Date Line wrapping, OpenLayers 2.10.
Member fee for developing countries have been reduced by OGC. The new fee structure is based on the World Bank’s world economic indicator data. Non-profits, governmental agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and individuals can qualify for discounted rates under OGC’s new Membership Levels and Fees based on their country of origin.
PCI Geomatics has contracted with China’s Institute of Remote Sensing Applications (IRSA) to deliver its GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) Satellite processing system.

Azteca’s 2011 Cityworks User Conference hosted over 400 attendees in St. George, Utah.
Esri’s Directory of Imagery is slated to be the keynote speaker at the 2011 earthmine Partner Conference, to be held in Berkeley, CA on July 7-8, 2011. Lawrie Jordan will speak about the Future of GIS and 3D Content.
The second annual gvSIG Day will be held this June 22nd at the Nottingham University in the United Kingdom. The event will be held during OSGIS 2011.
gvSIG’s first French conference will be held at the University of Rennes in France on July 1st 2011. The conference is being held free of charge and is open to all participants.
